You don't know what you're talking about for starters these are valued no less than 2.8-3 Mil for a 07 Model and go all the way up to 4 Mil for a 2010 model, it is in noway cheaper to import one because this is a Type R not your average civic and this trim is barely on the used car market.

we are not going to argue about this we are a license group of car dealers and importers we are also registered appraisers of cars we have bought and sold many. im a honda fan my self however i can not let that judgement over shadows what is reality im automotive resale how the seller gets the max for that are we honestly to. but a few points to consider and if you can please research this pointers

1. the car is 7-going 8 years old now.
2. banks no longer finance that year only under exceptional cases for special customs
3. its manual-which result in low average demand and that the reason its not stock by ATL
4. all cars has depreciated august 2015 between 15-30% varies
5. the car is a Japanese import not a classic or high demand in average sales
6. other than engine and box there is very few feature it has independently from the basic FD2 civic
7. it is impossible for a car to value same as its original import value when it was new
8. basic 2010 FD2 cost $6000-$7000usd, 2010 type R cost $8000-$9000usd to purchase plus CFU and about 60% to clear "this is facts" you can call ICM Japan to varify or any singapore dealer i have number i can give.
9. $9000*117=$1,053,000mil plus $9000*60/100=$5400*$117=$631,800
car + CFU= $1,053,000
Taxes =      $631,800
total cost= $1,684,800 million JMD. that is the actual cost to purchase a type r civic from japan or Singapore today WHAT YOU PAY MOST OF THE TYPE IS DEALER MARK UP

10. AS an appraiser it is again impossible for the said car to value same as a 2014-2015 CRV, ACCORD CL9-12, ARE SAME AS A 2010 TYPE R on the open market
11. for a domestic import "deportee" 2007 car to have a forsale value of 3.1mill it means your saying the actual value is about 3.8 again impossible
12. the car is naturally aspirated and without market leading technology. the engines is also common in the euro spec accords and 2005 DC5 integra

so those are just a few things to consider if you were in this business to understand the real value of the car

In case you dont know, this is a JDM Honda Civic FD2 Type R; not your regular Civic. Type R means its the high performance variant of the Civic. If you dont know what that is then I strongly suggest you Google it...

There is no way the regular FD Civic can be compared to this! Not even the Civic SI from the USDM which is perhaps the closest to it in terms of performance but still miles behind.

Your "facts" are total rubbish as none of those prices are realistic in relation to the vehicle being sold. Quit watering down the man sale with them. Aint no way an FD2R is being sold for 1.7 mil as u "calculated" unless something is drastically wrong with it

The probably here really is people are ignorant even to the field they work in, the "buy and sell" man them are unaware of many performance cars which from this brand are rare, they don't do their research nor evaluations so when they see something like this which is quite rare they are dumbfounded and pretend they know how people think and how they come about their money when they buy cars like this, this car is in the UK market for £12,000-£30,000 pounds (We live in Jamaica, cars are valued way more than what they are valued in other countries), this car is not your run of the mill economy Honda Civic, this is only one of two currently for sale on the island the other is a 2011 which is selling for close to $4 Mil, you don't think anyone gonna buy it or its gonna take long to sell ignore the post.
