was this fone ever water damaged
moisture gettin into the keymat maybe the problem .......I've seen many many Jav'z coming into my workplace with that problem
only way it can be solved is by replacing the KEYMAT....that's the electronic board assembly that has the side buttons and camera and speaker assembly all in one....it's like a circuit board itself in a sense
any little moisture gettin inside the fone can short it out completely, and sometimes even the trackball itself might not seem to work unless it's changed
go on EBAY...u'll see the keymat for US$59 and upwards
where I work sells it for $8,000 I think
cleaning might work successfully..... in only 15% of cases, which is nothing to brag about still
try re-loading the OS still, but i dont think it'll work
