I can attest to Audew being the brand of choice as it relates to portable jump starters. I've used mine to start 8L diesel engines with the vehicle's battery disconnected.

I say this is a good deal when stranded in the middle of nowhere. I leave my jumper cables at home, as I rely on my Audew to get me out of several sticky situations with a dead battery. I drive a Volkswagen, so I know what it is like to have a parasitic draw deplete a battery at random.
