Junior Accounting Clerk

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Compile reports / summaries and activity areas and provide accounting and clerical support to Accountant.
Ensuring that all balance sheet accounts, sub-ledgers (Fixed Asset, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable) are reconciled in a timely manner
Prepare audit schedules for General Ledger Accounts
Reconcile Bank Accounts and making the necessary correcting entries
Verify taxes and other deductions
Assist in updating, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records
Perform filing and general administrative tasks
Liaise with other departments/customers/vendors
Assist with intercompany accounts
Assist with monthly Inventory Stock count
Assist in month end reporting procedures
Any Other Duties Assigned by Accountant

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Qualification, Skills and Knowledge)

Completion of first year in B.Sc in Accounting or Management Studies OR Completion of first year of A.Sc in Accounting (MIND)
OR AAT Level 1(Foundation Stage) OR ACCA-CAT Level 1
Three (1-2) years related working experience
Good analytical skills
Excellent knowledge of Accounting System, i.e., SAGE-ACCPAC, Peachtree
Good time management skills
Good planning and organizing skills
