2.ASPHALT RAKER
Medium size asphalt paving contractor focused on paving Larger Commercial and Industrial Parking areas, Municipal Roads and larger subdivisions. We perform grading and preparation work as well as manufacture and place asphalt pavement throughout the Greater Vancouver Regional District.
Job Description: Have minimum 5 years' experience successfully raking, spreading and luting asphalt making the surface ready for final compaction to commercial parking lots and driveways.
Shifts: Dependent on contract requirements, most work is completed from 6am-5pm Monday - Friday. In addition, there are approximately 8-10 Saturday day shifts required annually and 1-2 weeks annually of night shift work.
Housing: To be arranged
Benefits: Disability insurance, Dental insurance, Pension, Extended Medical, metro travel provided at $8 per day.
3.Food & Server Position in Toronto
Duties:
- Take guest food and beverage orders, record order through Point of Sale computer, retrieve all beverage items from bar and serve to guest in restaurant or via in room dining service.
- Expedite order for delivery and presentation to guest, includes garnishing and/or adding condiments or necessities to complete order as needed.
- Serve water, butter, bread and coffee to patrons.
- Serve all food courses and beverages to guest. Offer and prepare all varieties of coffee including cappuccino, espresso.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned tables and service areas. Clear each course.
- Present guest checks and process payments. Complete opening and closing side duties. Complete all closing reports via POS as assigned. Other related duties as assigned.
Shifts vary: 6am–12pm; 12pm-6pm; 4pm-12am.
Work week: 35 hours (5 rotating days including weekends and holidays).
Drug-Free Workplace Environment.
Pay rate:
$14.40/hour; service charge & cash tips. Overtime available on as needed basis at $21.60/hour - paid bi-weekly by check.
Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government.
Air transportation to the place of employment will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker (air travel paid upfront). If the worker does not complete at least half of the employment period the worker is expected to refund the employer. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer.
4.COOK
Duties:
- Prepare, season and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other food items for consumption; measure and mix ingredients according to recipe, using a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment such as blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, tenderizers, to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces and casseroles; maintain work area and equipment in safe and sanitary manner.
- May wash, peel, cut and shred vegetables and fruit to prepare them for use. Other related duties as requested by Chef or Sous Chef.
Shifts vary: 6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, 2pm-10pm, 3pm-11pm. Work week: 35 hours (5 rotating days including weekends and holidays).
Job requires 1 month related Cook experience in 4/5 Diamond establishment, must provide written verification of prior experience from current or prior employer(s). Drug-Free Workplace Environment.
Pay rate: $15.12_/hour. Overtime available on as needed basis at $22.68/hour. Wage paid bi-weekly by check. All deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law will be made.
