Title: Re: Toshiba issue Post by: the good guy on April 10, 2013, 03:03:14 PM you people are so young to this ... if the fan is working and the heat sink is seated then is the terminal paste / grease. No dam OS will make it over heat like that ... hold that :box: and :bat: ... fix yuh face :beye:

Title: Re: Toshiba issue Post by: GordonG on September 30, 2013, 03:00:55 PM Its the Heat Sink That Needs Cleaning for real, Not the Fan... Dumbest theory Ever... (No OS Upgrade can cause that so easily)
Fix them all the Time. only 15bills to take care of it.. simple thing 472-3716... Oh I have a store so U dont have to worry I've been doing this a long time.. Title: Re: Toshiba issue Post by: Crimson11 on September 30, 2013, 06:28:06 PM Heatsink works in conjunction with the fan...... Duh...any technician knows that the OS doesn't cause overheating
Title: Re: Toshiba issue Post by: jordanb89 on September 30, 2013, 07:13:14 PM Heatsink works in conjunction with the fan...... Duh...any technician knows that the OS doesn't cause overheating I do chip level repairs and yall just sum novice ! Os can cause the chip to trigger the overheating, especially the aero theme on windows 7 which draws more power and build more heat on the chip which then cause the heat sink not able to transfer enough heat tru the vent ! Take a look at dv6000 reload os7 on that after 2 to 6 weeks thats a no display machine ! reflow will then give u couple days, lucky can get even a month ! The chip is faulty anyways... replacing chip 70% lifespan, replacing board a 95% lifespan... Two things must take note of... If machine constantly overheating and shuts off clean vent (dust blockage), if machine screen not coming up check memory or u have a board issue (check Bios, Gpu or Clock generator oe check all supplies) ! Title: Re: Toshiba issue Post by: cdwayne foremost on October 01, 2013, 08:10:20 AM :ia: now i can reply to this message ,only because of jordanb89 comment.yes, i as a technician totally agreed on what he has just explain to to all ,his theory on the dv6000 is also a fact ,and chip level repairs ,is also for advanced technicians ,i also do chip level repairs........................ :smo:

If a 3d desktop cause a system to over heat then the cooling system is messed up and would still do the same on any other OS if the machine is on long enough. I can fix this for free if i was idle enough, My skills and experience is way pass you and your petty comments. Oh yeah and what the F^&* is chip level repair ?are you going to rebuild the resistors in the processor ? use a blade to open it and bridge the l1 and l2 to slow it down and make it run cooler ? or are you just going to change the dam chip ? if so then my granny can do that . If you understands how a power supply works too you would know its parallel and not serial so the fan will always have the right voltage as long as the board is good and the bios is not messed up. Anyways no time for this crap and mango tree technicians Title: Re: Toshiba issue Post by: shane45 on October 03, 2013, 10:04:08 PM Heatsink works in conjunction with the fan...... We as technician encountered different types of issue each day and not all of them we can we can fix... changing Gpu is a micky mouse fix fa me ! WANT: All i want right now is some PCH chips ! get me some of them can send you the IDs ...
