Both services told me that they might no longer connect either even after conducting a number of tests and trying different things. I have gotten mixed responses from Nexon. I don't think the first one understood what I was inquiring as he just said he'd pass it on to the programmers. I tried again a couple months later and was satisfied with another response.

As you can see them appear to believe it's exactly as any other private network. VPNs are clearly contrary to the TOS and while W[tfast and Battleping are equally private networks they shouldn't be blocked as they are used by thousands of players who suffer from high latency. Battleping also uses the users IP address to login before linking via the US server that Nexon will be able to see I would assume.

He also states the game ought to be playable without these services that you have a broadband connection that's not true. Without these solutions the general gameplay experience is not smooth. There are noticeable delays in attacks and buffing. Also trying to pull a double flash jump close to instantly is impossible without those services.

You do not need to have control over these 3rd party services. You simply need to unblock them. I found this also . As you can see this is quite recent Maplestory2 Mesos (https://www.mmogdp.com/Maplestory-2/Mesos.html) . I really don't know if they are still attempting to have it working with the development team but a word on this could be nice.

They encourage 80+ MMO games and if you go to some one of their forums and ask if the usage of these services like Battleping is allowed they will all tell you that it's. There's absolutely no explanation as to why these should be blocked. Not everyone who's in GMS service place is about 20-50ms ping. Maybe touch base with them and see whether you're able to restrict access to such services only.
