Title: 1KR FE engine Servicing Post by: cizoticly on February 02, 2017, 04:30:34 PM I have a toyota vitz, 2012. Has rough idle and shaking when electronics used in idle.
Have cleaned throttle body, changed plugs, cleaned valve, cleaned injectors & use 90 gas. I think it might be an issue with the ECT (computer). Let me know if you can fix. 1. ensure battery is good 2. running ac and high power electronics on car power will give you the feeling as if there is loss of power or rough idling 3. only so much and more can be expected from a 998cc 3cylinder engine 4. engine will always be shaking. and somewhat loudly 5. ensure right grade engine oil is used. some oils seem lighter and under heavy engine use seem to not give the best performance 6. u didnt mention filter. stifling of the engine can add to concerns but overall i dont think u have anything to worry about unless u have blown a gasket or have bad coils. u can install a temp gauge as a safety precaution for overheating |
