When I bought my 1993 Suzuki swift some years ago, a previous owner had installed a hydraulic rack & pinion (without the pump) though the car only came originally with the non assisted type. (I guess they couldnt find an original type or had hopes of installing a pump later on). So I hunted an original non assisted version and placed that back in the car. Since then I have had this sitting in my closet.
