want a video card that allows me to connect my computer to my tv...... nothing too expensive, just need 1 to show some movie on the tv from the computer.

have a samsung black jack cud trade for it or just give me a price and a let u know if i can reach it.

pci.... as a matter of fact any1 should b ok :ia: cause ma board uses both slots

question ? i got a pci 1 yesterday (no cds) installed it and nothing :( monitor don't pic it up o anything (am assuming that means it aint working) cud this b t he case or do i need to install something? dont know the name or brand....not even getting through to the bredda i got it from

1. since you said your board uses both i assume it has a agp and pci slots not pci-e.
2. usually when you install a agp or pcie board it will take over from the onboard without any change in cmos not usally the case with pci cards.
3. attach monitor to the onboard card and enter cmos and change the default card to pci.
4. take out the video card and look at whats written on it and do a web search should be able to identify it an and locate driver.
5. if you boot from onboard card system should detect new device and ask for drivers if it doesnt then possibly card is faulty.
5. an agp card would give you better performance than a pci card

i have geforce 8400  for 4500 fairly new

Confirm if your machine is using an onboard video card if it is then  check that it has either a pci-e, or agp slot.
can supply a agp card with tv out for $1500.

matter of fact check the model number and revision of the board then do a google search and determine exactly what socket you have if you are not sure.

can give u a pci express geforce 6600 card for 2000

and all i would need is a vga to rca cable to use my tv as a monitor right?
