its kinda popular now especially for DHL , taxi owners and kgn wharf. A brand new line is run including injectors. It has a solenoid valve which controls regular gas vs the igl gas when starting the car. After the car is up and running it switches to cooking gas. and FINITO other than that its the regular turn of a key. When you want gas u go to IGL. IGL is islandwide of course. OWNER MIGRATING Post by: cay_go on August 27, 2015, 02:22:50 PM is this practical btw. after it starts and switches to the propane use. how long does that last? how many km can you get out of it? i knw forklifts and other airside vehicles that use it bt they change very regularly. and seeing that a 25lb cyclinder costs about $2400 and doesnt really last long for cooking purposes much less to sustain combustion for a vehicle that should burn more. idk still. just well curious

The car has been sold but ill still elaborate a little. The fact that the WHARF has converted alot of the lifts to this gas proves its efficiency. also several taximen and DHL use the system. It is cheaper than regular gas and with the right system it ismore efficient. REMEMBER this is a computerized system, it uses a brain which you program and calibrate with injectors, pumps, the werks....... i dont need to show you any graph or spec sheet. but ask around and you will see that major companies jamaica and worldwide are making the step to avoid regular gas. especially with prices fluctuating weekly! |
