Title: Re: 9650 for a 9700 Post by: Ace_nitros on June 20, 2011, 03:30:28 PM If you have one of the 9650 that saying ACTIVATION REQUIRED and you using lime dat plan and it saying edge and the internet moves faster than digicel EDGE is 3G speed u getting Once the option in the MOBILE NETWORK OPTION IS SET to 3G/2G if you using OS6 u are getting the right speed, Once u get rid of the ACTIVATION REQUIRED message it will say 3G. The 9650 is a later, has more application memory and runs os6 better than the 9700 so read up and what you have before you trade it.

ACE i most defintely second u on this!!! i payed 1US on ebay to get mine removed (the "Activation Rerquired" message) as for 3g however.... im using claro n it still doesnt tell me 3G... i get EDGE.... if i select 3g only, i have no network coverage but once it on 3g/2g.. i get edge... y? i ather the 9650 though cause more app memory n the phone everall feels better to me than the 9700 n runs os 6 smoother Title: Re: 9650 for a 9700 Post by: corey_md on June 20, 2011, 04:31:47 PM If you have one of the 9650 that saying ACTIVATION REQUIRED and you using lime dat plan and it saying edge and the internet moves faster than digicel EDGE is 3G speed u getting Once the option in the MOBILE NETWORK OPTION IS SET to 3G/2G if you using OS6 u are getting the right speed, Once u get rid of the ACTIVATION REQUIRED message it will say 3G.
