What is the the issue why is it so hard for memory to be sold these days? Is that you are/people are not interested in buying more RAM/Memory these days or is the general consumer satisfied what came bundled with their system? Let me know what's the deal and the challenges you are facing in making your decision.

Some benefits in having additional RAM

If you are the type of user that has a million tabs open when on the Web, and you notice your PC slowing down, having more RAM can help improve your performance in managing more tabs/applications
If you use professional video/photo applications (such as Adobe Premiere or Adobe Photoshop), having more RAM in your system generally improves the performance of your application
If you are a gamer,..(do I really need to explain here)...obtaining better performance in games in the reason people upgrade their hardware
