to be used with ether the Mac or a PC. The FireWire 410 can
record two channels simultaneously. It features two Mic ins
and two line ins that can be switched between. One feature
that the FireWire 410 has that many other audio interfaces do
not have is Phantom Power. Phantom Power allows you to use
condenser mics which have a much higher quality of sound
than a standard microphone. The FireWire 410 has 8 outputs
that you can connect to a mixer or your stereo. The FireWire
410 also comes with Ableton Live Lite suite, but you can still
use programs like Pro Tools, GarageBand, Logic, and Cubase.
The Audio interface also supports Midi. The FireWire 410 is a
great interface with a ton of features for a great price.
SetUp
Setting up the M-Audio FireWire 410 is a very easy process.
You really just have to install the drivers and then connect the
Firewire cable to the computer. Whatever audio software you
are using should automatically detect the interface. Then all
you have to do is connect the Microphones to the interface and
start making great music.
Quality
The sound quality on the M-Audio FireWire 410 is great. The
410 features high quality components the give you 24-
bit/96kHz audio. Thats 192kHz sound quality. Which happens
to be better than CD quality. The Mic ins also feature M-Audio
high quality pre-amps which helps to boost the power of your
