Title: Ipod Touch 2nd Generation Repair Post by: escobar on October 25, 2010, 02:49:23 PM Trying to update a 2nd generation Ipod Touch to OS4 but it keeps failing with unknown error 1611. Ipod starts the loading circle then goes bk to the connect to itunes symbol then the error 1611 pops up. Thinking I may have bricked it >:( Anyone knows how to fix this?

All other versions of the OS are failing with either error 1604, 1611 or 14. The ipod freezes all the time and I keep having to restore it. I was thinking that it probably needs a new battery since I only get about 5hrs of continuous playback but now I realise that it freezes even when the battery is fully charged. Anyone knows what the problem is and how much it would cost to fix?
