Title: BB 9700 SOS problem HELP NEEDED URGENTLY!!! Post by: BigHead on October 18, 2012, 12:01:19 PM I have a bb 9700 that had white screen that I got from my cuz, he used to use a digicel sim card in it. I bought a new screen working great and everything. when I put any digicel sim card in it it say 'SOS emergency calls only' there is no signal only SOS, but it picks up the contacts on the sim card and eveything, but cant send out or recieve calls. When the phone starts up or turns off it says Claro. But here is the tricky part: my friend that replaced the screen for me his digicel sim card works in it, it picks up 3g and everything, but only his. I tried about 20 different digicel sim cards in it with no luck, only his works in it. I went to Digicel dealer store and they tried several new sim cards in it with no luck still saying SOS. ONLY HIS DIGICEL SIM CARD PICKS UP SIGNAL! WHAT COULD BE THE CAUSE OF THIS? DOES THE PHONE NEED TO BE UNLOCKED OR SOMETHING? WHEN THE PHONE STARTS UP OR TURNS OFF IT SAYS CLARO.
