Post by: vylle on October 10, 2012, 11:34:43 PM dude, what the others mean to say is that for your pavilion, your graphics card is most likely integrated and/or soldered into the board.. if your card is busted then ur out of luck.. your board is now bad.. at the cost of replacing the entire motherboard sadly - u might as well get a new laptop and done..
the ONLY way your computer could support a different GPU is if the gpu is dedicated + comes on an un-soldered pci slot.. which is only found in specific gaming laptops like Alienwares, MSI, few toshibas, Asus, or barebone builds (like clevo/ibuypower) even if i was incorrect and your hp pavilion does somehow support additional GPU's.. laptop gpus arent something you will find around easily.. you'd have to order it from ebay.. and any that you find there will be selling for some high prices. i have 2 9300's sitting down in a box and cant get them sold simply because laptops with an unsoldered/dedicated card arent a common find here..
