One Third and management split

The group One Third has split from their long-time manager, Ray Alexander.
The trio which rose to prominence after winning the Digicel Rising Stars competitionin 2006, slowly teetered, though they released tracks including Fattee, Take My Breath Away, Dash It Gi Me and more.
According to the members of the group - Alpheus ‘Al’ Johnson, Miguel Walters and Adrian Campbell - musical talent without a proper management team isn’t enough to take artistes to the top of the musical game.
“Ray Alexander got the best foundation just as One Third did, an mi feel sey him never capitalise enough from the exposure that we got from Digicel Rising stars. Mi just feel sey wi shoulda did deh further. So right now, mi tink di best situation like any other artiste woulda did do, is fi brush off dem self and find the best way forward, an right now, mi feel sey a change a manager is the best thing fi wi,” said Al.
The group also went into details to further explain a number of things they thought Alexander, better known in the industry as the ‘bald headed Ray’, didn’t do.
And now, group memberMiguel says, “I feel that we are making the right career decision, this change will allow us a fresh start in the business. At this point, we need to just brush off ourselves and move forward as one group, one entity as One Third.”
